Stock Wheeling???
Not sure if this should go in the pic request section or the TJ section so mods please "adjust fire" if you need to.
I had a 2000 TJ with a 2'' spring lift and 31''s that was a blast to mess around with. I was very surprised at what could be accomplished on such a minimal setup. Does anyone do stock wheeling? I guess I am looking for pics of rigs and the trails/obstacles that you have accomplished on a very limited vehicle setup. Meaning stock suspension or no more than BB lift and 31''s. Show me what a "stock" vehicle is capable of.

This is the only pic I have of me wheeling stock, but I did it often. Some mostly bald Cooper S/Ts and I was going a lot places! (filled my Jeep with water when it was stock once)
I'd say my Jeep is still mostly stock, 3" and 30s, other than a good boost in ground clearance, isn't much different. ![]() I cut the wheel hard right after this pic(drivers left) I wanted to avoid the rock on the right.

I know the Jeeps are very capable from the factory. Probably more than what people realize.
I guess I am just trying to get a visual for just how capable? That make sense? Hopefully some more pics/video will pop up of showing just how capable. I would like to see the gnarliest trails you have cleared on a very stockish vehicle. Keep 'em coming! |

Drivetrain is stock. Tires are not.
I'm the red Jeep pulling out the larger yellow Jeep. ![]() Almost made it up this hill, but about 20 feet from the top, it gets steeper and slopes off to the right. Jeep slid back to the spot it is at in the picture. I believe lockers would have got me all the way up to the top. Sorry that ^ picture is so small.

these were even before the BB ![]() ![]() ![]() after the BB ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

PERFFFFECT!!!! 1990XJ...great shots. Really great. Thats some cool terrain that really shows what you can accomplish in a stock Jeep. Exactly what i was looking for as far as terrain shots.
Underpowered....something tells me you arent afraid of the skinny pedal? So I guess you could still do the trails at MOAB? Are there easy routes/lines? I want to vacation out there but I dont want to go if I need a vehicle with 35'' tires to make it. |

well, those last 3 pics i posted i only had 2wd due to a broke front axle shaft. as i said, it is amazing where you can put a realitively stock ride when you do not care what happens to it. teh weekend i wheeled in 2wd, all weekend, the jeep saw the rev limiter very often, but i made it places guys with 4wd were scared to go. i am a firm beleiver in "when in doubt, gas it!" sure, i gets lots of body damage, there is not a single straight panel on my ZJ any longer, but it goes where i want it to.

I guess I'm kinda cheating with a Rubicon, but it is stock. Actually less than stock because the guy I bought it from never went offroad, so when he burned off the MTRs he put on street tires. Either way here are the pics.
