spare tire mounted inside jeep wrangler

did anyone make anything to store the tire inside the wrangler. i don't use the back so im thinking about putting the tire in the back. anyone have any pics of some?

I don't know how you feel about drilling into your tub but here is what I did.
Mounted the stock carrier on the floor.

anyone ever use the bed mount from tire gate? looks like it would work

hey tim thanks for the idea. that's how mine is currently. i just used one bolt to seat belt mount and bent the tap and added spacers in front to stop it from rovcking. untill i make a trunk and put the spare on top.

Got mine ratchet strapped down and locked down with a bike lock cable and a bulletproof master lock. THis is with my old GSA.

sure!
I first took the seatbelt bolt and put it through the center "top" hole in the tire carrier...


Then I drilled 2 holes in the "bottom" of the tire carrier and put some bolts through...


And this is where the bolts will come through under the jeep. tons of clearance.


If you have any more questions or would like more/better pics I can get some for you.

I built a shelf and then put the tire on top of it.



I used the stock seat attachment points.
