I agree: Kongo Cage and Safari Rack are really solid. I have had significant load weight on it for a couple small excursions and the rack did exceptionally well off road. When you are weighted on road, you have to remember you are even more top heavy.

old thread but I've also been looking at racks because I've been getting in to gold prospecting and need some serious cargo space. It comes down to the kargo and the garvin expedition. Of the two I prefer the garvin. Cleaner looking and affords you more storage. The kargo rack is rather small compared. The Garvin is about 150.00 more but IMO well worth it.

I've been really happy with the Kargo Master and Yakima Megawarrior basket, holds plenty of junk.
