Here's a few for ya...RE 4.5" SF kit with 3.5" springs on 285/75R16 (33x11.5). This was just installed, so I expect it will settle some.

By the way...I'm pretty well convinced that the RE 4.5" kit with standard 4.5" springs would be entirely too much lift to run 33s. Get the 3.5" springs instead for no additional cost and be sure to upgrade to adjustable control arms all around. I did not get the adjustable rear track bar, but will be getting one when I break down and buy a tummytuck skid and run a CV shaft.

Lookin' good!!!

I'm still leaning towards the 4.5 myself, mostly because my plan is to go with 33s once I lift it, but eventually to run 35s once I can afford to regear.

Side note how do you get such good quality photos. I compressed mine so much it looks like crap.
I'm with neZZr as far as going with the 35's if you have the 4.5 you would only have to do a 1" body lift and you could get away with 35's.

glad i found this post. I'm just about to install the 4.5 kit and was going to replace my body lift with a 1". I'm only running 33s and my concern was it was too much lift because RE kits are higher than they say.

anyone running the 4.5, 1"BL and 33s?

WOrst case i will just hve to look for ways to make it sag a little...like a nice heavy warn winch on the front

I hear ya on the 35's...the 4.5 is definitely the way to go. BTW, how much did your RE 4.5 settle? Its tough to tell from the angle and the lower backspacing on your rims, but your 4.5 doesn't look all that different from my 3.5 (which still should settle some).

On the pics, I just used MS photo editor to bring the size down to 600x480, then tweaked it down a bit more to ket it under the 102kb limit if necessary.

4.5 or 3.5

I really don't know how much it settled. It was like that when I bought the Jeep, sorry I wish I could say.

I really don't have any pics with it straight on. I have 10" rims, with 33x12.5 tires and I know when it tucks under the front well, and doesn't scrub. We are going out this weekend and I will take some more pics.

I think the 3.5 looks better, if you are looking for alot of travel the 4.5 would be better it only adds an inch, but every inch counts. It's all in what you want to do with it.

Here is another pic from behind.

Oh the truck next to the jeep is an 04 2500 4x4 if that gives you any better idea of the height.

Old thread to dredge up, but I just ordered a RE 4.5 with 3.5 springs. Good pics. Anyone else running 285s or 33s with 4.5 springs?
