Dammit ! It was an awesome truck like this, even better as a dually.

I have a '99, I was thinkng of making it a dually, for the same reasons you did.

Thanks men, i love the body style of the older truck and the VE mechanical pump, basicly the simplicity of the hole package.

it's my 4th cummins powered Dodge and the oldest and favorite.

it's a good truck 141k on it now, gets 13-14 mpg with the 4,200lbs camper on it.
i wish it was a 5 spd, but a built auto will also do the trick if you can keep it cool.

i do quite a bit of farm related towing with it and serves it's purpose well.

Bump, forgot this thread, I now actually tow with my truck. It does ok, takes a bit to get up to speed but I can cruise at 65mph no problems with it. Just keep O/D off and sit at 2400rpm. I even average 11mpg doing it which surprised me. I am eventually looking for a cummins so I can get a bigger trailer, haul both my jeeps and a camper. But thats down the road, rather get a house first right now
