I think he wants it in a Jeep. I would love to see a Diesel wrangler too.

I was kicking around the thought of shaving off all the DODGE and RAM emblems and putting on JEEP emblems seeing as they were the same company(kinda) and I tend to treat the Megacab like a jeep.

Sort of a "What-if" Gladiator concept

It would need new rims, tires, and a better tire approach bumper for that. All of the chrome would have to go, and pins for the doors would have to be changed to make them removable. Pretty cool idea though.

Anyway, Sunday Im supposed to be going on a trail ride with some 4x4 club up here...they're all in tiny Jeeps/4runners/etc...so we'll see how that goes haha...I might not be able to get as far into the trail as them, but Ill give it a shot. Jeep wont be ready for a few more weeks but I gotta get out there

I really wish Jeep put a nice cummins in the TJ now. Being in the market sucks when you know your dream isn't available.

A couple of weeks ago I was drooling over one, and I want to steal the truck for the drive train. That would have made for one beastly setup.

The truck doesn't look anywhere near as long after I hook up my trailer.

I bet it'd be tough (if not impossible?) to fit a Cummins from a Ram into a Wrangler...cant imagine it'd even fit? And if so, the front end might need some serious heavy duty reinforcements to hold that kinda weight...

Anybody ever seen or heard of it being done?

People have crammed 6BTs into wranglers/CJs, but it generally takes some extensive mods to the firewall etc.

The 4BT is a relatively common swap. It's about 250 pounds heavier than the 4.0, puts out almost 160 more ft/lbs of torque, and gets at least 25 highway MPG with big tires. The only 'problem' is that you need to either stretch your wheelbase or do at least 4-5" of lift to keep the oilpan off the top of the front axle.
