Rubicon Wheels

Just picked up a set of TJ Rubicon wheels (AKA Moabs) that need some TLC, so I was thinking about painting them (silver again, gunmetal, perhaps black, who knows!)

Would you fine ladies and gentlemen be so kind as to post up pictures of your TJ or even JK Rubi wheels? Either stock finish or painted for some inspiration?

Mine got all scratched up from rocks etc so painted them black and left a silver ring around the outside lip.

Check out this thread:

Pretty sure a couple of guys give details on how they painted them.

I painted mine gunmetal and they turned out very well. The only thing I can say is prep, prep, prep!!!! Lay down a self etching primer, duplicolor color coat, then clear. I shot 3-4x of each and they are glossy and nice. Well at least to me!

(Wet is the spots, drove in the rain to pick them up from mounting)

Edit: As Requested, here is some of them after changing them out (got a great deal on the newer Rubi wheels so these are up for sale). Forgive the salt and dust, that's the WI roads for you.
