Rubicons come with the SYE, but not the CV shaft, but the CV shaft is not always needed with some small lifts.

With my OME 2.5" lift and TT, my driveline has the same angles as someone with just a 4.5" spring lift.

Thanks.
My next upgrade will be wheels and tires, but after that I might look to do a TT. I don't know for sure since that will be on down the road. Just thought I would read around and ask a few questions. That way, if I do decide on a TT, I'll have a better understanding of what I need to get and what to spend in order to do it right. |

what all must be done to use this belly up other than the obvious SYE and driveshaft.

1) minimum 1" body lift / motor mount lift 2) SYE and driveshaft (just the drive shaft for Rubis). Even then, if the lift is small enough, you may not need the drive shaft 3) adjustable rear upper control arms. As with the SYE, if you have no lift (stock suspension) you might not need the adj rear UCAs either. |

When I did my tuck, my Rubicon was stock,
I did the 1.25" body lift (1" is fine) 1" motor mount lift, and the Tuck all in the same weekend. Didnt need any shift linkage brackets, but I did notch the fan shroud and lower it just a bit. I had no vibes and no problems what so ever. I installed the CV shaft when I installed the 2.5" spring lift. The added clearance is well worth it, but remember, its not just that it hangs down less, its that its FLAT. If you do hit it, you will still be able to slide over the obstacle. ~John

I think I know what my next upgrade will be. I had to put the T-case drop earlier today. I hate the way it looks, but it looks like it killed the (very bad) vibes I was getting.

So I ordered my Rokmen belly up and engine/tranny skid tonight. Along with a MML. Sure is a lot of money for a 17 year old to be spending on steel; I hope I made the right decision.

I think you did good. I plan on getting a SYE/CV driveshaft next. I should have done that first before doing any kind of lift. Post some pics when you get it all installed. ![]() |

So...were looking at the belly up skid, 1" BL and 1" MML? I already have a SYE/CV so that would be all I need? Now would my driveshaft still be long enough you think? Cause I really don't wanna have to send it to TW to have it redone
![]() and who makes a good TT for a pre-03?
