Rock Krawler track bar pics. [TJ]

show me some pics of the rock krawler track bar and the drop bracket on your TJs.

what is the thread pattern on the heim joint?

any close up pics of the bushing end and the bends would be great.
TIA.

Sorry, pics are not real close, but maybe they can help:

When you do the install, put a 7/16" bolt on the axle end, instead of whatever metric bolt came from factory. (the head was 15mm if I remember correctly?) It's a much tighter fit, which prevents it from getting loose. (a common problem on TJ's)

no problem MisfitSeven, good luck.

I am impressed with it. I bought and installed the RK long arms, truss and belly pan and now the TB... everything is so darn beefy. Its really pretty impressive stuff.

I just bought the U Turn steering, mainly because I liked the design and I have a friend whom I ride with that loves it. But I debated for awhile between UTurn and RK steering. I'll post up some pics when I recieve the Uturn, but if it doesn't hold up to the RK stuff, I'm not opposed to a return!

My kit is the last generation steering kit. On the new style, the draglink just bolts below the knuckle.

Not my pic, and it's on an XJ, but you get the idea of how the draglink bolts up:

I have not had a bit of trouble out of the heims. They're perfectly quiet.

All you have to do is drill out your knuckles with a 5/8" drill bit, and then you just bolt it on.

For you guys running the RK track bar, did you have to get a dropped pitman arm?

You shouldn't need a dropped pitman arm unless you also have a dropped track bar bracket. I have both.

Dang lance... i really like that setup there. I've been looking at high steering, and I'm a big fan of RK's stuff and like their X-factor system (RK is pure beef). The U-Turn steering and Teraflex are the others I've liked. You kinda took the best and combined it into one. Does that setup work well? I'm going to keep it in mind.

It worked very well for me, and now works very well for a friend of mine who bought my old D44s as a set. Bump steer was almost non-existant, even though the TB and DL were not parallel. No DW either, and bulletproof. The only thing I would have added if I had not done my D60 would have been hydro assist with the 37s. I ran that set up for years of hard abuse.

Awesome. I really think I might do that setup once I got an extra $800
Love how bomb-proof RKs stuff is
