Relocated license plates

I want to take off my plastic license plate holder and move the plate somewhere else.
can any of you guys post up pics where you moved them and what you used as a license plate light

I guess you could say that mine is 'relocated'. I removed the plastic license plate holder, bent the plate to conform to the curve of the tub, and lowered it a little to fit below the stock tail light that I recessed.
Here is a link of the lights that I plan on getting to light up my license plate: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...2&autoview=sku

I just did some LEDs recently and had to address this. Sorry, I don't have any pics yet.

I ended up using a license plate light from Napa. It was around $5. They have quite a few to choose from and even more listed on their website:

http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPage...ight&VehCode=N

I first tired some light bolts similar to what Steelman referred to, but they did not light up the plate at all.

If you want a pic, let me know. I'm still using the stock license plate holder though as I couldn't come up with any good ideas.

Can you not use the existing holes from the plastic thing to mount the plate?

If you are talking about mounting the plate where the plastic holder is removed, then you cannot use the existing holes, unless you drill new holes in the license plate. They don't match up.

I think that im going to drill new holes in the plate and bend it around the tub.
I was going to mount it on the bumper but my paint is f'd up under the plastic plate holder.

I cable-tied mine to the roll bar, and ran a couple stick-on LED's to the plate, one in each corner...

hopefully just enough to keep the cops from pulling me over:
