Would you rather them take the hood, grille and a few odds and ends and junk the rest to make a buggy? I personally don't have a problem with any of it. I bet half of the non resto or restomod willys projects out there are made from stuff that would have rusted away in a field or got junked by a scrapper if not taken and done something with. That being said I hope to get started in my flat rod soon. I've already got the jeep and I hope to start making parts soon for it.
This is a little project I have been working on. It is a 1946 Jeep Willys Rat Rod, 1938 Ford Frame shortened, 327 Chevy motor, Mustang 2 Front end. Most of the parts I had lying around. I made doors for it. It weighs about 1800 lbs. The power to weight ratio is unreal and it excellerates crazy fast. It can beat anything new out there. It is still a work in progress. Oklahoma Jeep R@T ROD.
I forgot to add some things on my Jeep R@T Rod above. My family loves everything Jeep. All my kids own Jeeps and I also built a 1951 Willys to drive daily. This is not just a hobby but a calling and for us Jeep is a way of life. Here are other images of my Rat Rod in the progression of..."Growing" and my 1951 Jeep Willys and my son's Jeep Wrangler.
