built for $1800. tires are 35x12.50x17 fronts, 35x14.50x17 rears, 3 speed manual, 4.88 rear gear, 350 chevy out of a combine, rigid front end, air ride rear, narrowed tub by 6.5 inches, added 2" wheel spacers, boat seats, bicycle chain steering wheel, frying pan air cleaner,ect....fun as hell!

I think some of these are less rat rod and more "low budget hot rod" which is way cool. I like the idea of one but have yet to bring myself to do it. I've got a '48 2A that I've thought about rodding out a little but I want to keep it 4wd even if I lower it.
mine has a 350/350 motor trans, ford 9" and a 1952 chevy drop axle. my first lowered vehicle build. recently i added airbags to the front to get it lower. which made my total investment go up($800). . it works pretty good, doesn't look good, body is pretty beat up.
