I'd say do it. I was gonna do something similar after my STI was totalled but my trans was beyond repair. I wanted to keep the AWD. If you have the trans, why not keep the AWD? Either way would be cool to see done. Just thinking you could lift the airbags when you want and take it on the beach or mild trails... That would turn a few heads. Good luck and post pictures as you go. Love to see how she turns out.

Good to see I have support in this. I'm going to wait until I finish my current YJ, and I'm also working on restoring a 1968 Honda CD175 twin. Maybe the jeeparoo ratrod will be this winter's project

here is a guy i know named ryan, he widened the tub to tuck the wheels and stretched it out, S10 frame with a V8
