Ramsey RE 12000 winch

Hello everyone.

I got my hands on a Ramsey RE 12000 winch and am rebuilding it. I would like to see pictures of how people mounted this type of winch on their rigs. Be it a CJ, YJ, TJ, JK or other.
Thanks in advance!

Hello and an update

I had posted a while back of a Ramsey 12000 lbs winch that I had picked up and was hoping for mounting suggestions.

Well I didn't rebuild the winch as of yet but I did find a Ramsey 8000 lbs winch that needed very little work to get back running. So since I never did get any replys I began to figure out my own mess. lol.

Attached are a few pictures. It does stick out a little messing with the approach angle but this winch is no pick-nick to mount and to mount good. However I kind of made it modular. I can unbolt the front bumper, then unbolt the winch out of the cradle it sits in, then unbolt the frame extenders and remove everything to take it back to stock.

I believe that the older Ramsey's are better winches specifically because you can power in or out without the worry of burning it up.

Check it out and see what you all think. What would you have done different? The only thing left to do on it I believe is to add a front brush guard to it. I just found one on Craigs list and will get it done in the spring.
