Oh great, I finally get the nerve up to do the mod and now you go and say something like that
Yeah I like the stock look too but my tires need a little extra coverage, I could get rims with a different backspacing but still don't think they'll tuck in far enough. My plans are to have the TJ flares painted to match and try to incorporate them with the stock step. Trust me I'm going slow and making sure I can reverse course if I don't like the way it's turning out

Yeah, I think i finally came to realize that Jeep just got it right with the YJ look. I did the heavily modified YJ before, now I really appreciate the stock look and enjoy it more than trying to be the "best". However a small lift is needed on them! My previous YJ was on Dana 60s f/r, 39.5" IROKS, custom everything with Bushwacker flares, thing drove better than ANY YJ or TJ I have been in....but I am happier with my mostly stock YJ now.

The more rare the stock YJ becomes, the more I like it!

Post up pics of the new flares. They should look good painted the body color. You have a sharp Jeep either way! What are your other plans?

My 1994 Sahara, sorry for the mess, working on painting the underside...

Only 9,100 miles on it! BDS 4.5" lift, but removed the extended shackles...so 3.5" now. BFG 33x12.50r15 on ProComp 1069s.

Here are some pictures of my 1988 in progress. I don't have the orig stickers after my paint job so I made some custom ones.

Just swapped the BA10/5 for a 1999 AX15 with external slave cylinder setup.
New Paint, New jasper 4.2, rebuilt AX15, Herculiner, new top..etc..etc
Soon to be SOA, 8.8 with 456 gears Front/Rear, 35" tires.

To me it looks like the spring is busted... But, it's not.

That's a 2.5" RC lift and their 1" shackle lift... No track bar, disconnected swaybar, and MetalCloak tubes that give it a ton of extra room.
