Dad moved so I had to get all my old toys (yes I kept most of them) from his old house and take them to mine. The LEGO jeep I built from scraps probably 16 years ago was one of few still intact. Seeing all my old GI Joes, LEGO sets, Hot Wheels, and MircroMachines made me want to be a kid again.

I thought it needed a Jeep instead, so with two nephews who have a ton of lego parts, we built a red Jeep! We also built a couple of flatbed train cars to transport the Jeep and the trailer.

This is one of the trains with two 9 volt motors. I keep two different trains running on the same track (as I said I have a lot of track not shown in the picture below). It takes two power supplies to run all four motors. My wife only lets me bring out the train at Christmas.

I remember those train sets...talk about cool.

I put larger tires on the tan CJ. I guess they're 44's (44 millimeters). We also built an identical one in white. My son built tops for them too.

You can see the suspension has no flex

This one was a challenge and still needs work. I originally wanted to use larger tires but without re-working the suspension, those wouldn't fit. The front grill and the back end with tail gate and tail lights are the best part. I like the seats too.
