I have the 4.5" Rubicon Express lift. No rubbing at all for me.

Yes laxncj18, I have a total of 5.5" of lift on my 1986 CJ. I have put the 33" back on it for more room for flex but the 35" are for show. I love having the body lift, which gets the body off of the frame and gives you room to clean under there. The suspension lift is a ProComp 2.5" kit. I love it. Now that I have had the lift on there for a while, the springs are looseing up and flexing even more. Makes for a great ride on the road.

I have the inline 6 cylinder still in it with the five-speed tranny and 3.31 gears. I couldn't complain at all. This coming summer I plan to repaint the whole jeep the original Charcoal grey color and cut custom decals for the Laredo. I like the black, but want some of the originallity back in it.

Thanks for all of the nice comments

My 84 with 37x12.5R15 MTR's

84 CJ7 Northstar V8
91 YJ Renegade.

I've been in this rut plenty long enough, I know what to expect. Weather my day is hell, or weather it goes well is kind of up to me I guess.

This post was helpful. I am wanting to do the same setup as for tire size on my 81 CJ7. Funny thing is, my 81 is the exact same as RenegadeKing81 jeep. I want more clearance between my tires and fenders. It's a headache trying to decide what kind of lift to use though.
