how well do these keep water out of the engine? and thank you, what tools do you use to cut these holes?

I havent had any problems with water and the engine. A jigsaw would be the best tool to cut the hood but I used a sawzall and grinder.

I used a 1" hole saw at each corner and then I used a jigsaw.. really easy, did it by my self and it took me about an hour and a half with hood removal and such... no problems with water either, have had a few good storms and nothing, love it

I left my hood on and used a 3" metal cutoff wheel. It took about fifteen minutes for the cutting.
