Might try Expedition Portal forums if you are not already on it. I went with the trailer route, I'm out of room in my 98...

If you're overlanding a TJ you know space is going to be super limited. If you are going solo you'd probably be alright but who overlands by themselves? Trailer is almost a necessity for a TJ.

Hi John,

here is my setup, ARB is behind the passenger seat. I do a lot of exploring solo and did not want a trailer but the ability to haul all of my photo/video and camping gear. Trailers have their place but I don't like them on really technical trails unless you can leave them at basecamp or such. If your going to do overlanding on mild to moderate trails then a trailer is going to be hard to beat for storage with a short wheelbase TJ.
