we can do it but it'll look like crap because the picture of your in-laws is far away and low resolution.

Do you have a better/closer picture.

Also, their faces are shaded from their caps.

Alrighty, the old man refused to take his hat off. I wasn't going to make a big deal about it. But I managed to snap 3 pics before he was blinded by the flash... Hope these help. I will upload the large and you guys can shrink em down... Thanks in advance.

Thanks MOOSEonTHAloose, I'm glad you like it. And I hope your In-Laws like it too. Please post a picture of the 8X10 in the frame when you get it done, and let us know how they reacted.

You should have put a weave pattern to their faces which would have given them that painted look then done some shadowing to their faces to match the original painting. But for a quick 5 minute job it looks good.

I did add a canvas texture to their faces, but it's only subtle (didn't want to add too much), and I tried to match the surrounding painting as best as I could. I even took out the glare on her glasses. It was a little more than a 5 minute job. It was hard to get their faces to match the rest of the painting, and this was as close as I could get it.
