Then what do ya think about mine? Im debating it...

I think some black wheels would look sweet on it but i could always sell these and just pick up some black cragars. Decisions decisions...

Yes i sanded, primed and painted them while on. They look 1000 times better, IMO.

Crappy cell pics but you get the idea....

I just painted my Simulated beadlocks the other day. It worked great and for once did not have any hiccups on this project.

I have some chrome wheels that just won't clean up due to surface rust. Think a black paint job is in order. What is best way to prep for painting them. Also Flat or Glosss black? I do hope to purchase some new center chrome caps and lug nuts..

Just a quick FYI for anyone looking at cleaning up wheels to paint. Steel wheels that are rusty can be cleaned up by soaking in sno bowl toilet bowl cleaner for about 5 minutes. It will also take all coatings off anything aluminum. DO IT OUTSIDE!!!!!! the acid in the cleaner eats aluminum (think drano bomb) so do a quick soak and get out. When you are all done mix some baking soda and water and spray down. The baking soda neutralizes the acid. Will be super clean and you will be amaized at how good this chit eats the rust.... Just did the inside of a jerry can and wow!

Hey looks exactly like what I need to do. Please share how you did your wheels. What prep did you do to those chrome wheels to get paint to stick? WHat paint was used? They do look great...

i taped off the tire. then used a red 3m scuff pad and scuffed the rims then painted it with $1.29 walmart spray paint. they held up fine. will see how they last during the winter.
