I think the used the Griswold "family truckster" from the classic film National Lampoons Vacation as the donor car. The Griswolds were from Chicago, so it makes sense.

No, Rich isn't short for Richard.
I'd tell you, but it'd get blocked out by the asterisks.

The way I see it, a Jeep is like sex-when it's good it's terrific, and when it's bad it's still pretty good!
