There appears to be a very long winch line attached to it in that picture. Who knows how far away the winch is.

It is a rope and yes that buggy tried to pull him out for about 45 min. But he was not able to get him out. Took 3 buggies to get him unstuck.

ive grown up in the south and i did my fair share of muddin down there and i've also grown up out west and done plenty of rock-crawling to me everythings a thrill. Now when i get the opportunity to go hit some mud i take it and when i get to go out and go crawling i'll take it all in the same jeep its not extreme but it does the job when i need it too for instance 2 months ago i spent a whole week playin in the mud in eastern arizona then 2 weeks later im crawlin over the rocks of the desert.
