Ok figured I would post some pics of my 93 YJ. Monstalined black interior and white exterior. Both rolled applications. 1 gallon black. 1 1/2 gallon white. It was a complete tear down. The last photo is what it looked like when I bought it 3 months ago for $2200. Rattle can painted. Terrible job. $2000 later and I'm pleased with the results. Monsta brought it back to life. Let me know what y'all think. Not to many white ML jeeps I've seen. Really only seen photos of 1 other TJ.

Hey couple questions with your ZJ, I'm wanting to do mine in all black including the cladding.

How well does it hold up on your cladding? IDK if I want to rip them off and then fill the holes in the body and monstaline the whole jeep afterwards, or line the cladding as well.

Last question, does new emblems and badges stick to the monstalining?

IDK if I want to roll right over the emblems or take them off and spray paint them black and then stick them back on?

Any suggestions?!?

At first I had rustoleum liner on the cladding so the monsta stuck well to the cladding. I just popped off the emblems and left it debadged. Why not take the emblems off and plasti dip them black?

  • 3 gallons were used. I had about a quart left over. mixed about 2 oz MEK in each gallon when cleaning all the color from the DBTO can.
  • Sprayed with Walcom shutz gun at 70 psi (60 psi first coat) 5 turns out.
  • Had 2 cans to swap when empty.
  • 1 gallon did first coat. Second coat was sprayed heavier and used a gallon and a half.
  • I hit the floors, entries, and tail gate with some extra liner. Spraying heavy gives a larger, rounded texture. I did a light mist last to get the fine texture I desired.
  • By the time you get to the end of painting you'll get the idea of how you want it to be for your preference.
  • The whole inside of the tub, half doors, tail gate, roll bar, the whole outside of the body, and the front inner fender wells were all sprayed.
  • After I finished spraying and pushed it outside into the sun I found a few spots that needed touching up. I used a mini roller and sponge from the
mini kit to take care of those spots.

Yeah mine currently has duplicolor bed liner on them now... You don't have any chipping or flaking on the cladding?

No sir. The gritty texture from the rustoleum liner helped it stick very well. And the Monstaliner on the rest of the zj has stuck very well also.

I'll take a few close ups of the cladding later today. It's dirty but you'll get an idea of what it looks like.

The burnt orange Jeep looks good. You can use a single edge razor to shave any trash off like in the upper right side of the picture of the stamped Jeep.

Ok sweet bc I want to keep the cladding on, but was scared it would be a waste monstalining it, so was considering ripping and leaving it off and monstalining it after I fill in the holes in the door.
