Looking for WJ w/4inch lift with stock size tires.

Being married with kids, I'm going in stages. It simply makes no sense to buy wheels and tires you can't fit on a stock rig so my plan is to get the lift first. The only question is whether or not I need to wait until I get the new wheels and tires before installing the lift. To determine this, I'd like to see just how this setup looks. (it's easier to do this than install the lift and hate the comical look)

Hey SDT0...any updates on the ride? I'm installing the same 4"RC kit next week. Trying to decide on tire size now but it's proving tough to find a 265/75 (the kit size suggested by RC) that will fit the 17" overland wheels. Nice looking Jeep!

Yes, actually. Either I'm just getting used to it or the ride is getting better. Hard to tell but at this point, right now, if I had to do it all over again, I certainly would. Do you plan on getting the adjustable trac-bar, Trapper?

I helped a friend install the Zone 4in kit on his 99 and it rides and drives just like stock.

SDT...yep, adjustable tracbar and steering stabilizer went in with the lift. Been a couple of weeks and after some highway driving , all in all everything rides good, but I'm thinking I might want to do sway bar(s) as well.

What size tire did you go with? Those look larger than the 265/75 17's you mentioned you were looking for.

that's funny, i thought the same thing about them looking big but they're 265/70 17's. i haven't physically measured them but maybe they run a bit tall.

Hey that looks really good, how has your rough country lift held up? It's a four inch right?

It has help up ok considering it's a budget lift, but it has settled a bit and has a few creaks and moans in the springs. I'm happy with it for what I put into it.

Is that during everyday driving or just when you're off roading? It really looks good, and I want to put a four inch lift on. I'm just trying to fin something that is going to last 100,000 miles and not have any problems. Would you reccomend a differnt brand, and I do no offroading. I just need a lift to fit bigger rims and tires in it. Thanks
