That was my thinking as well. At least untill I can get my Rev111 fenders and then tie the stinger into the shocktowers

The gussets are all at the bottom and then there is the weird one at the top which serves no real purpose. Either way, it's not braced near the top in any way that will keep it from just sandwiching back into your grille. And then on top of all of this, they're ugly as sin. It's like a big **** sticking off of your bumper.

The weird one is for the winch hook and thanks for the education since you seem to be pro-stinger

hey fellas, I only have a 2 inch lift with 32 inch tires, do you think a stinger would look decent on mine because Ive seen a lot a tj's with much larger lifts and bigger tires using the stinger bumper thanks

I have no problem believing that mine would help if I happened to tip forward, it's beefier than it may look. If you don't like it just wait a few months until it's braced to a hood hoop.

Home Made

Here is the one I made with my JD2 Model 32 bender. Turned out better then I imagined.

Mine sticks out a tad far for my tastes. But it come of a wagoneer and I had to make it work, no one could pass up protection for $150 even if you have to break out the torch and welder.

I want a stinger so bad .. What bumper do you guys recommend? I dont think stock (tj) would really hold it well. I like the stingers that dont stick out so far also but with the ones that stick out you got a place for the deer...

Did a search in the pic request thread and found this one which is properly braced and could actually help in the event of an endover.

What stinger is that? It looks amazing!

I had this stinger custom fabbed. Its been a jeep saver......literally

sany0511.jpg

I roled down this hill a little too fast (not knowing the bottom was kinda trenched out) and when my front tires hit the bottom we went forward. If it wasn't for the stinger it definitely would have went over. Pictures don't do it much justice but any real wheeler knows that its a whole different story actually sitting in the drivers seat.
