Turned the outside and then engraved the top with my CNC. It was my jeeps coming home present after having transmission surgery.

That's awesome, I don't like the ones you buy because they have the set screw on them instead of being threaded. I have a couple practice grenades laying around my house, I'm going to have to make one for my t-case.

Had my dad recreate a stock-style shift knob for my TJ out of cherry stained a darker mahogany color.

Yeah, I've got a St. Louis Cardinals MLB baseball beer tap as my current shifter. Makes a good wrist-rest as well; nice & high. I've also had a old-school Budweiser shorty style acrylic beer tap as my shifter.

**FYI you can use any--so far as my experience has gone--beer tap as a shifter as the thread post is the same. It may be a little tight, but I believe it is merely the difference of coarse vs. fine threaded grooves. You can find all sorts of shapes, sizes, & brands on ebay for super cheap.**

I think I bought it of amazon, but cant find it now. basically a Hurst t handle with out the hurst name... and only 7 bucks! I was going to get a hurst short throw shifter, then realized I was throwing down like $300 just to have a t handle shifter
