Well, I just want to see where Eden, NC is!! I was in Brevard and Waynesville last week and didn't see all that fall foliage!!! Did go to the Catahoochee Valley to see the Elk though!!! That made the trip worth it for me!!

Yup, they were all killed off in the 1800's but in 2001 they brought 25 in then in 2002 they brought in 27 more. From what I have read they have more than 140 now. http://www.nps.gov/grsm/naturescience/elk.htm Attached is a photo of the big one I "shot" !!!

Dam congrats...wish I had better luck lol with these dam whitetail been going out every night and still nothing...but congrats on the elk.

thanks he is a very nice bull hopefully I can finish Cutting him up before wheeling tomorrow. Yeah I chased the bucks all October,,, and as of right now I hate deer lol well I still can shoot a doe with my shoot gun around the snake river ( going to have to shoot a corn feed doe) :-( Sent from my iPhone using JeepForum

The dam deer have out smarted me...I've been going every day for like 2 weeks strait and didn't see anything and the other day I didn't go cuz I had a crap load of HW but my dad went and said there was 7 deer 20 yards in front of my stand like WTFFF FML...lol all I want is a nice buck so I can mount it, my dad said he will pay for it whats better then that haha

Yeah I got my nice buck when I was a teenager, and now I get disappointed every year, I passed up 15 this year

What's wrong with a delicious corn fed doe!!? Wait til you have a sage fed mulie and you may change your perspective!!! As much as I love all venison and elk, the Corn fed deer I've harvested
from Wisconsin are much better tasting
