I really want to get a 1/2 hard cab, but I can't justify $1300 for a top when I still have SO many other things that I could put the $ towards (ie. regear)
how do you like this setup?

Blast from the past pics when I started undoing the halfcab conversion.

Before the undo - the "Quadratec Special"

I did like this look, just throw a warn stubby bumper on it with a winch and it be bad ***. Could loose the snorkle too.

Topless

Bestop Half Top for Soft Top Vehicles with OEM Door Surrounds. The Half Top I had before was for hard top vehicles with the Bestop-supplied metal door surrounds that velcro on. These are rubbish and I had the top blow off the vehicle several times (warranty replacements) at 70 mph. Luckily Bestop accidentally shipped the wrong replacement model once and when I could see the difference, went out to buy the door surrounds and it's been much better since then.

With custom-made cargo rack

Annnnd unboxing my new half top and mocking up to-scale a Ford Ranger power sliding rear window. The open square in the middle is the part that will open
