Here are the Orvis interior pics, as well as some other of the outside now that it is clean. Also the Orvis comes with body color accents in the wheels.

Like dropped said, the carpet on the door is coming off. This Jeep's PO didn't take care of it at all, It has taken a lot of work to get it to this point, but it is finally starting to come around. Hopefully I can start with the fun mods soon. I have treated the leather 15-20 times to try and soften it up, and it still soaks the treatment up within a few minutes, I wonder if they will ever not be totally dry.

Thanks mudgts, its not as clean as I would like, but it is getting there.

Orvis,

Stupid question, how did you get the leather on the steering wheel so nice? The leather seemed to be peeling off on my old XJ and now the same is happening on my Acura TL. Is it simply leather treatment?

This sounds crazy, but I use VO5 Hair Treatment. I learned back in scouts that it did wonders for leather hiking boots, both for waterproofing and softening up the leather. The catch is the steering wheel will be really slick until it is totally absorbed, it may take multiple applications if the leather is really dry like mine was. This method saved the seats, steering wheel, and shift boot on my Mustang as well.

Anybody have any tricks to cleaning carpet, the carpet in mine was almost black it was so dirty when I got it. It is a lot better, however there are a lot of places that are still not as clean as I would like.

What were you using to clean it before? A great way to clean your carpets is actually with a peanut sponge, the type people usually use to wash their cars with. This will work well unless you have a lot of gravelly dirt ground right into the carpet. Use it in a bucket of soapy water, laundry soap actually works well for this, and scrub the areas you want to clean, get it as wet as you need to, and scrub away at the carpets. You will also need a wet/dry shop vac, use that to suck out all the dirty soapy water from your carpet.

I was about the say other wise your leather really needs to be cleaned and conditioned correctly it shouldn't be shiny.
