Those look like Gladiator wheels from the JK Saharas. Got any other pics? I like the bigger JK wheels on the TJs/LJs. I see plenty of the 17" Moabs, but none of the 18"ers.

I'm hoping to join the club sooner and contribute to this great thread. I missed my TJ, so now I want to look for a nice LJ since my Grand is paid off.

Sweet looking orange LJ.

How are your Warn rockers?

Do they have a gasket?

Mine do not and they are blistered/rusted to hell underneath...

Do you have a spray gun? I'd lay down some bulldog adhesion promoter after cleaning it and mix a little in with your base after you've reduced it. They're a pain to sand, that's why I'd use a.p. and skip the sanding

2004 Rubicon: custom long arm, 42's, hydro, stretched, Grand Cherokee motor, TF 999, etc.. all that's left is the hood
2005 LJ: RE long arm, 35's, ARBs, 4.56's, chromolly shafts, custom cage

Just trade someone with a black top. People are looking for those tan tops all the time

I dont use a spray gun typically. I want a finish like bedliner on it. How do you prep beside a good cleaning? It has a few chips in it already.

It took me over a year to find this one and 9 months more to buy it. I am in Louisiana and we dont typically have hard top available.

But can someone confirm that this is off a rubihara? I havent seen this color on any but those...

Looks like the gray tops that were only offered in early 05. At the time, only khaki and grey were options until they rereleased black hardtops righ before 06 model year. Cleaning can be done with windex. No need for expensive wax and grease remover. Acetone or enamel reducer could also be used but might lift. Grey scotch bright pads are good to scuff that surface prior to cleaning. I did a color match one once on a tj and had to remove all of the factory paint first- I used 220 grit then 400, 800. Fiberglass resin or polyester can be used for chips or smal cracks

They made this color top for a bunch of LJs not just the rubicon Sahara. My border patrol rubicon LJ had a top this color and somewhere down the road someone painted it. It was terrible and the paint wouldn't stop peeling in the jambs and at the gutter of the rear window. If it were me if post an ad on CL about the top and let it run for 2 weeks before I got a can of paint.

They Made a few black LJs with khaki flares to match the top. Looked very odd.
