They are heavy, flat spot, loud ( I rotate them every 1 thousand miles ) and difficult to balance. Despite all that, I could care less, they are great Offroad especially in the rocks where they were designed to be used. The only tire I'd rather have would maybe be a 37" ltb if they made them...or comp treps lol.
Good to know. I'm about to do some 5.13's and RCV's. What sleeves are you running? I already have the Superior Evos in the rear. I probably wont run krawlers because I drive mine to and from the trails here in CO so I need a decent street tire. Probably just run some 37'' Kevlars.

If I install the Under Armor this winter...then the RK long arm is out of the question which only leaves a few options. Clayton or Poly/Genright.

I forget where I got the sleeves exactly but they're all the same anyway. I did it more for security than anything, I don't think they're as crucial on a tj as they are on a JK. If you want underarmor you can run just about any long arm if you use individual custom mounts, although that's a lot more work of course.

I don't have a truck and trailer so my rig has always been driven to and from the trail, I just wouldn't want to drive it every day.

Hey! Nice minivan man!

When are you bringing them out to Moab?

Over the mountains and through the woods, across the stream and up the slickrock, down the canyon and over the rocks to nobody's house I go.

I've only had 5.13s with 37s in my LJ but I also had 5.38s with 37s in my JK. Both rigs were 6 speed and both do fine on the road. The automatic has a much taller overdrive and would be fine with only 35s IMO.

I have ran across a few guys that say 5.13's are too much for 37's and your RPM's will be too high. Out here at elevation our LJ's are already at a disadvantage with the thin air. I think with the LJ's being a little heavier, running 37's and some bead locks, the extra grunt the 5.13's give you is worth it.

I wheel with a guy who runs 4.88's and 37'' KM2's (not a true 37, I know) and he wishes he had 5.13's. When he has 4 people in the Jeep and loaded with gear, he needs the extra gearing the 5.13's provide.

With Steve running some HEAVY azz krawlers and WE wheels, the 5.13's are perfect I'm sure.

Here's my buddies Jeep. 06 LJ, NSG370, 4.88's, RCV's, 6'' Nth Degree LA, 37'' KM2's. The Nth Degree LA is impressive. Everything is all tucked up nicely.
