I agree. Making me change my mind about those Overlines too. Is the rear cover one of those canvas ones or is that hard material? I like the look of the half cabs on the LJ.

I'd love to make mine into a truck, but being that Im' 6'4" tall, I kinda sit more in the back seat. LOL. I need to find a king-cab version of a GR8 top. But I don't think they make one. After I do my conversion, I will start looking into it more.

The thing is, if you extend it back any more it won't have much of a bed unless you spend the time and money to extend it. Other wise it might look like one of those odd H2s with a "truck-bed".

Mopar soft top half cab is an "extended" cab set up.

I can put the seat all the way back with the Rampage cab top. I'm 6'3" and fit just fine, same as if I had a full top.

Drop a line from the back side of the speaker pods. That's more or less where the 'bed' starts with the Mopar half-cab, and the Gr8 Tops extended version.
I'm only 5'8" and my seatback is behind the B pillar, but doesn't touch my Mopar top.

It doesn't look as bad as a TJ, but still weird. Kind of like a Subaru Outback Baja or Ford Explorer SportTrac.

Gotta love this thread.

Over the mountains and through the woods, across the stream and up the slickrock, down the canyon and over the rocks to nobody's house I go.

Keep thinking about selling it and getting a new(ish) JKU or just building a Brute. Idk, I'm about 6 months away from paying it off, so I'll decide then.

Awesome jeep! I say keep it and enjoy wheeling in a Jeep that you now actually own. I just hate being in debt. Or enjoy it till you can save up to pay cash.
Plus, I think the LJ is the way to go, the JKU has too many negatives when it comes to off roading. That's just my 2 cents.

In the same boat completely (can't believe I am actually saying this) but I have been thinking about buying an old yota and building one soon.

What brand hood louver?

I never make the same mistake twice - it's more like three or four times.
