That would be a good option. But if I remember correctly, a while ago he posted and explained more and sounded like it was going to be mostly LJ and custom fab.
I hope it turns out well! I've seen some that attempted to do that and they look like an odd combo of modern and retro. But if he does it right it could look cool. For instance, this Mopar Keiser is a cool modern remake! I took this pic and also have one of me sitting in it. Our club got a private invite to the Chrystler plant.

yeah it coveres up quite a bit of minor things like that.. if you take your time it comes out pretty smooth.. and if you mess up, peel it off.. more durable then expected so far..

TDS a couple years ago. She's grown but that's decent on a budget boost.
2nd one is now.

What is the brand name of the orange things on your roof rack? Aren't they used under your wheels for traction if you get stuck?

Good eye Clarkkent. I thought that was a rotopak. It does look like one of those traction units.

Maxtrax and they are awesome! Ive only tried them in sand so far, I cant wait to try them in snow. I have them for those times when there arent other vehicles or trees to winch from. As much as I love my winch, there are times when it isnt usable. They can also be stacked and used for bridging.

Only downside is the $600 price tag for the 4.

They come in dozens of colors now too - pink if you want it.

Actually, I'm putting a '57 Willy's grill and a '60 Willy's hood on my LJ. Gotta add nearly 9" width to the hood and subtract 5" of height out of the grill. Also gonna have to fab new fenders to fit the front end. Highlining the hood is part of the plan. With only 3.5" of lift, I will be able to run 37's with no clearance issues!

I have test-fitting pics but my phone sucks at pics! Will post good pics after the actual fab is done.

Thank you for the explanation. Can't wait to see this project. Make sure you provide us with a link if you do a build thread.

Here's mine. First Jeep and not even my own picture of it....it's a little dirtier now. New Trektop is on the way and as soon as some other stuff in the garage is sold off, I'll start to feed the addiction.
