Here's my '05 LJ ( build thread HERE). It's the only vehicle I have ever purchased new, and it's been stored every winter to keep it out of the nasty Michigan salt. It currently has 53K miles on it.
Stock.
Budget boost & 31s.
How it looks today (it's back from the paint shop tomorrow). It's close to being driveable after a year of work.
Specs:
My stock Dana 30/Dana 44 axles, along with the OEM Ravine wheels & 31" KM2s will end up in my 11-year-old daugher Mira's 1993 XJ 2-dr. project, which was also featured in the January 2012 Jp Magazine ( article HERE). Here's what the reworked LJ Dana 44 rear axle ended up looking.

Here's mine:
I'm sorry no offroading shots yet (usually just me on a detour) but I did crawl every page in this thread and there's way too much chatter, way too few photos so I'm undermining the required 'off road' shot and adding a picture from a parking lot...sry.
I've got a 60+ mi/ day commute so a little 3" lift and 31's is all I want to plow down the road with. Oh and don't get on me about the chrome, I've only had her for 8 months and the 52" Hanson front bumper is in the garage, going on this weekend!!!

Thanks. Still haven't made up my mind about springs. I'm trialing some 4" Curries up front at the moment, and while I like them so far, I'm inclined to drop an inch down to 3". My dilemma is that it sits perfectly level now with the 4" Curries in front and 2.5" OME949s in the back the 949s also have a spring rate of 216 lbs, and I'm concerned about getting coils that aren't heavy enough to adequately handle all the extra weight in the rear. It really had my mind in a bind for the last couple of weeks.

Mine sits about 3/4" low in front with OME 934/949. If I had it to do over again I would buy AEV 3".

It's between AEV and Currie for me. There's lots of great reviews of both and while I like the unsprung length of the Curries, I'm skeptical that the lower spring rate 3"s in the rear would handle my LJ with the swing away spare carrier and/or if I ever put the expedition rack on again. Decisions, decisions....Ugh!
