Protip: MOST newer cameras have a setting for 'wind screen' or similar. This would cut a LOT of that down. Check your manual you might have one too

Not my rig, but I did a similar thing to my red 2006 LJ. I painted the stock wheels with black Rustoleum bed liner. Had some left over after doing the 5 wheels so I decided to hit the grill too. Rubbed it up with 220 grit (that was the hardest part....getting up the nerve to scuff up the paint) Then I just put the hood up, and taped, taped, taped. This is where the details will definitely pay off. Tape the lights off, tape the fenders and where the bumper meets the grill, tape the top where it goes under the hood, tape behind the grill so the radiator doesn't get painted...you get the picture. Then just hit it with some primer (1 coat for me) and then the bed liner (3 even thin coats). Resist the urge to cover completely with coat 1. Thick is bad. It will run. Go with multiple thin coats. Looks awesome when done and it's bullet proof. For $8 bucks a can, this stuff is the best cheap/easy mod you will ever do.

hey thanks your rig is the same color lJ as mine but it doesnt have a lift yet.
I didnt mean to start a pissing match with the other fellas on here. As for front lines that is a conventional way of war, this conflict (or what ever you call it) is more asematrical warfare so there is no front lines we are just in the ****. but its been winter and the fight-in season was all but gone. i have one more season (and probrobly the worst fighting season coming due to the Koran burning) out here before i go and fix my 97 and lift my 05 in the summer. This forum and my Military jeepers forum are the few things that keep me(i speak for myself) sane. I have pretty much seen every thread and pic in both forums and just cant wait to go home from here. KEEP THOSE PICs COMING. SGT Cavazos, USA Army, Afghanistan

No pics here but thanks for your service and may your health and sanity keep its status quo. Perhaps if I manage to get UCF skid installed this weekend, I'll get some fresh pics of my Heep
