I've got nothing against a 1" body lift on a jeep for a little additional clearance if needed. I've got a kit for mine in my garage but I haven't decided 100% if i want to install it or not yet. I'm on a 3-4" lift with 35's and even though they clear I'm tempted to go for a little bit more clearance with the body lift.
On fullsize trucks I can see a place for them. If I just bought a $40K brand new chevy/dodge/ford I'd be more inclined to toss on a body lift to get my larger tires then I would a suspension lift. Cause really, that truck most likely isn't going to see anything more then a graded dirt road getting to or from camp and I'm just putting bigger tires on it for the looks. If you think putting on a ill designed fabtech/rancho/rcd/procomp/etc lift is an improvement in suspension design over the factory engineered suspension system you're high! LOL
BTW, I have a toyota pickup that is built around a 3" body lift that I'd put up against any truck anyone owns that says body lifts suck. And when I say "put up against" I mean high speed offroad racing type stuff. (it's not the one in my signature though...)

How about this, if you had the Jeep Spirit, you wouldn't abuse the rest of us trying to enjoy a nice day out wheeling by bringing your brokeass broken down junkyard crap out to play where it can't handle it?[/QUOTE]
