Back before the half top when I first registered it the DMV gave me my choice on what I wanted (not sure why) so I figured I might as well go with a truck plate. Now that it is a truck it worked out rather nicely.

I could be wrong but I think Jeeps in WI get regular plates. I told the DMV at title transfer and registration that it was converted into a truck and they told me I had to get truck plates for it - rather than standard plates.

Here in Mo. Jeeps are SUVs and can be either. I title mine with truck plate because its cheaper.

I never knew they gave you the choice. I just assumed that all Jeeps got regular plates, but I guess you learn something new everyday. For you guys it does make more sense to get truck plates though, since they are technically trucks by conversion.

I'm a tugboat captain. A gag on thuglife so my jerkoff buddies like to marker in an H when I'm not looking. Thought TUGJOB would be funny but worried I'd give the wrong impression. Lol. $50 one time here in MD if I remember correctly.

Yeah, mine aren't militar plates, but we only pay $40 a year too. We have personalized plates on my Jeep and my wife's DD. Here's mine:
