Let's see your temp gauge

Just did a bunch of work on my 04TJ cooling system... Wondering what everyone's normal operating temp is... Maybe belongs in tech area but do want pics. Looking for I6 4.0L

A good rule is that your rig should run ALMOST as cool as the thermostat you have installed, not less but maybe equal to or 5 degrees over.

I took a pic of where my yj runs now with a new radiator, doing 65mph, and on a hot day. It reads slightly over 210. Oh I have a aftermarket trans cooler mounted in front of radiator and rolling on 33s.

mine sits where yours does (190ish). Mechanical fan, stock radiator, new water pump, new t-stat. Doesn't matter if its hot outside or cold.

Mine will rise above 210 slightly on the trails. I have a 2.5l with an auto. Think getting a exturnal tranny cooler might help that?

I Thought The Newer TJ Temp Gauges Were Just Dummy Gauges? Didnt Really Show Actual Temp.
Whoops. Thinking Oil Gauge.
