I remember when my Heeler, Ivan, was that small! I got him right at the 6 week mark. They're awesome dogs! Mine goes pretty much everywhere with me. I just took the top off my Jeep and I'm trying to teach him how to stay in the rig now that he can just jump right out lol. Anyone have any advice for this? His "Stay" is pretty good most of the time, but I took him with me to the grocery store yesterday and he just kept jumping out trying to follow me in haha. I ended up having to take him home since I didn't have anything to secure him with and then going back.

Oh and to stay on topic with pics (I can't remember if I already posted these or not.)

Here he was the day I picked him up

And maybe a month later

Cheers

What a cutie!!! About how much does he weigh? Can you post a pic of him standing? Preferably from the side? Trying to decide if my dog is part red heeler

Thanks!
I haven't weighed him in a while. I think he's somewhere around the 30lbs mark. I'll weigh him later for ya haha.
I don't have any side pics of him, but I'll take one for ya soon. Whenever he sees me with the camera he comes running to see what I'm doing so I have to be sneaky about it lol. I'm pretty knowledgeable about the breed though, so if you have a pic of your dog, post it up! Maybe I can shed some light on it for ya.

Thanks again for the compliment

Cheers

Well, I found her on the side of the road. That's why I don't know what breed she is or anything. She has the same ears as your dog and she does have a little of the ticking. But she's shorter and longer.

You can see her ears are a darker color and she has a little of the red ticking on her back. She's about 40 lbs, about a year and a half old

She's a pretty girl! I'm defiantly not seeing any Heeler in her though. He face shape/structure as well as build are totally different. Her tail is decidedly not heeler as well. As far as ears, lots of breeds have "pricked up" ears so that alone isn't a Heeler trait.

Heelers, when they don't have docked tails like mine, have long straight tails and more "boxy" shaped heads with wider cheek bones and a pointy-er muzzle at the end.

My Heeler is about 10-11 months old so he'll get a bit bigger before he's done growing and should be around 35-40lbs all said and done.

Anyways, you have a beautiful dog and it's awesome that you rescued her and gave her a loving home. Oh and I'm still working on a "side" shot for ya anyways. He always seems to know what I'm doing and wants to get all close to the camera lol.

Cheers
