Those are from Trees Ranch in Kerville. Around here I go to Bridgeport OHV Park but would like to check out the Rock Trails of Tolar (west of Granbiry).

If you can't stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them!

Thanks - that's a year and a half of building at that point.

I like the axles a lot. I've had minor sporadic issues with axle seals leaking, but replacing them is straightforward. I've trussed them hard so they haven't bent. The truhi9's have been rock solid. Skip the Warn hubs - they don't work properly in the 9 and they're very weak - it's beyond a fusable link, more like wet cardboard (and I've seen Warn's work great in other applications). Use drive slugs. ARB's are nice too.

If you want CV for the front, now that can be done as well.

I spent around 20k on my axles, and a buddy went the D60 junkyard route. When it was all said and done I was at 20 and he was at 16 - for all the parts he had to buy to step it out he wished he had bought them - and that's with us building his by ourselves - it was fun.

Wow I forget how quick the price adds up. I was thinking of running a 8.8 in the rear and a spider 9 in the front or a dynatrac prorock 44. And I have a rock krawler long arm sitting in my garage waiting to be put in.

I'd recommend saving your money and waiting, and I mean REALLY waiting. Wait for some built axles to come up for sale in pirate4x4 or elsewhere.

One thing we quickly realize is for every dollar you pour in, you may get half back. Find what you want, call the owner, talk to them, and if the price is simply too much, thank them so much for their time and ask them to keep you in mind if they hear of any others coming around.

This community does not forget courtesy and respect. And it pays dividends.

Ya I remember seeing things come up for sale on Craig's list from time to time, I just haven't had the money at the time. Thanks for the advice

ooooo fun.

yeah,, if you ever find out your jeep can do wheelies..

I dont recommend doing it.. because you break axle shafts.. as cool as it is, its not fun to replace axle shafts especially with a detroit locker
