Krylon Fusion Flares

I just bought 2 cans of black Krylon Fusion. I'm getting ready to paint my flares but I'd like to see some pictures first. Also, please add some details like how many cans you used (will 2 cans be enough?), how long it took to paint them and how are they holding up. Thanks.

I'm not too sure we'd go the fusion route if we had to again. drunk friends keep stepping on the TJ flares and taking the paint off.. i wish we would have gone the dye route first to see if it would have helped.

The original links still work for me, the new ones do not. When I quoted them they were working at first and now they aren't, so I don't know what's up.

To the OP - when I painted mine (have painted them twice - once silver and now black) they hardly scratched at all, even with my clumsy German shepherd climbing all over them to get in and out of the Jeep. They've held up well each time.

I guess I'm kind of hijacking my own thread but, I painted my flares last night. They look fantastic. I applied about 3 coats and they have had all night to dry. I have two concerns though. I finished right around dark and shortly after that, the dew started to fall. Then on my way out my driveway this morning, I got some mud kicked up on the rear flares. Do yall think this will cause a problem or has the paint had enough time to dry? How long should I wait before I wash the flares?

I always let the paint dry about five minutes before putting them back on. Mud from this morning shouldn't hurt anything. If the dew didn't leave spots last night you're good to go.
