Jeepster Commando's

Post up any/all pics of Jeepster Commando's. I had a 1971 SC-1, orange with black stripes and a white top. Does anyone have one of these?

I've had two of the later body styles (72-73) with the somewhat aethestically challenged front end (but I loved them just the same)

just passed this one up last year, let my Buddy's kid take it home instead:

and now I am currently looking for one myself!

and this one's been up for a while

This one is what mine looked like, except it had the original front wheels to match the back. It had a full length floor console and full rubber matting in the front and rear seat areas. I repainted the floor console glossy black, put in a nice (for the time period) stereo with 2 Jensens mounted in the body panels right behind the front seats, added fog lights and glasspacks! She was loud!

That was my first car and I really wish I'd kept it.

Thanks, Hoss!

I'm going to bring this back up to see if anyone else has pics of the Commando or actually owns one.

Not exactly like the orange one but it did say any and all. Here is the one I brought home. My dad and I are going to build it up.

father-n-law's jeepster

Here is a pic of a Jeepster Commando that my father-n-law recently aquired. He is going to restore it, so I decided to join to see if I can find info to help him out.

It is either a 72 or 73... I'm not sure which.
