Jeeps with windshield mounted, or windshield light bars

I am curious to see how you guys ran your wire from a light bar above the windshield, or the lights on the windshielf frame, to the engine battery, and to a switch.

I was thinking a little slack, and running the wire out from my light bar, to a drilled hole in my hood. Leave enough slack to freely open and close the hood, and cover it in wire loom. Didnt think it would look bad either.

What have you guys done?

If your doing a light bar above the windshield drill a small hole where the pipe lines up where you mount it to the windshield and run your wires through there and you will see a small plug on the inside of the winshield frame that you can run your wires through. Just run one wire to an empty slot on your fuse box under the dash and run the other wire as a ground to your fire wall. No need to go the the battery. If your doing winsheld mounted head lights just run the wire through the foam seal where your winsheld meets the tub of the body. Wire it the same way through the fuse box.
I have windsheild mounted and my friend has a light bar.

I just drilled a couple of small holes in the panel that goes over the windshield wiper motor and air vent just below the windshield frame. It worked perfectly! Don't have to worry about slack for the hood either. None of my pictures show it REALLY clearly but check em out and see if you can get an idea.

No exterior holes drilled.

Used to have some hinge-mounted KC Daylighters, they were wired the same way.

i have a similar relocation bracket and i see my mirrors fine. even with my doors on - full steel - the mirrors are still visible. that picture is a little misleading i think.

With the doors off I can see it perfectly...with the hard doors on its a little tough, i have to lean towards the pax side. That being said, i rarely use it. Just wanted to keep things symmetrical and had all the components, might as well install them .
I looked at a couple different brands before purchasing and wanted the mirrors to stay at their stock height and these had light tabs on them too...bonus!

end Hijack...back to the lights!

I'm looking for some light mounts that mount higher on the sides of the windshield, I once ran across a Jeeper who had KC Highlighters mounted up high on the sides and with the standard windshield mounts, said he got the Jeep that way. Any ideas ? I've currently got mounts like kbarwall & avian in this thread, but am looking to also mount a set higher on the sides ?
