Apex... I promised Eugene that I'd eventually meet up with him at Uwharrie some time... maybe once I'm in Ohio we'll have to make a trip down there together?
I had a great time when I was on 33s... went 3 times before the "real" buildup.

If I was staying in VA Beach longer, I'd try to make another trip there this year, but I'm afraid it will have to wait until 2011. It's a great place not so much for hardcore wheeling or anything, but great scenery and the Arrowhead Campground is a great place to camp and hang out. I met Scotch740 there in 2008 when both of our Jeeps were little... now we've both got 1 tons and 40s and happen to live about 30min from each other... until I go to Ohio in September.

Oh, and that friggin dirt road left my TJ dirtier than any of the trails did. Then again I was following my buddy in the ZR2, it hadnt rained, and we were barrel-a**ing down it

It is a possibility...depending on what I am doing for work at the time. Hopefully we could do that though, I'd love to get back down there and spend some more time hanging out.

thanks man. that was my first attempt at daniel and I've been wheeling there for about 1 & 1/2 years. definatley un-nerving when you pull up to the ledge and have to bend your head down next to the dash just to see where the hell your going. lol. but I had a good group of guys and gals with me that day and I wasn't scared to get stuck, i actually expected to get stuck and not make it because things had gone extremely too well that day, with the only carnage being a flat tire. but with some good spotting and a little throttle the jeep just drove right up it. however if you do that trail with minimal ground clearance you must expect a little to alot of body damage. but its worth it.
actually, if you need some good ppl to wheel with down there and have a stockish type rig, or you just need some guidance out on the trails, these guys are the ones you need to hit up. 4X4Everyone - NC4x4 Forum
