Jeeps at car shows

I purchased my Cherokee brand new ,back in '99. For the past 16 years it has been off-roaded and my daily driver, it's spent every day and night in the driveway. I have taken really good care of it and the original paint and interior still look pretty darn good. I have also taken it to the occasional car show over the years, mostly to shows I wanted to attend but rain or the chance of it has kept me from taking my actual show car. This spring has been fairly wet so the Jeep has been to four shows already. I know there are others that take their Jeeps to shows every now and then, I have included several pics from some shows. The first pic is my XJ from a show yesterday, the others are Jeeps I have seen at shows.

Is there something special about the XJ? I'm sorry I must be blind and using my phone isn't helping but it looks like just a clean stock XJ?

My local club, the South Park 4x4 Club out of Fairplay, CO hosts a show every year. Here are a few pics...

From what I read nothing overly special but takes that when the weather doesn't look prime for taking his actual show car

Basically it is a clean XJ, but it does have a 2" lift, 30" M/T tires, after market wheels, rock rails, roof mounted spare, class 3 hitch, skid plates, tow hooks, 12 cd changer, satellite radio, Smittybuilt tail light guards, Rancho shocks and I recently added LED lights to the front bumper, roof and as extra backup lights. It is actually the most modified vehicle I have ever owned. I don't consider the XJ to be a show Jeep, it's more like a Jeep I show.

I go to the Indy 4x4 Jamboree each year. It's mostly lifted trucks (which I never knew there were so many lifted trucks... as many of such need barns to store them in!). Anyway... pics from 2012:

Beautiful '78 CJ5 Levi's edition. Check out the original price! ($7080)

A buggy built by Scott Morris from Sunfire Off-road (that works on my Jeep).

My Jeep... washed.

This LJ looked like it just rolled off of the show room floor!

At a recent show in my home town. I was giddy over this thing. I wanted nothing more than to take it home!

I've taken my J-10 to a small car show near Springfield. I won 3rd place in the truck category.

I've only taken it to one show. As I improve the truck, I wouldn't be against going to more but that's not the primary reason for owning it. I actually use it as a truck - hauling wood, driving through the timber, fishing, etc.

Most recent fishing adventure...

I will be attending this years Jeep Jam Show and Shine in downtown Wilmington Ohio August 14th. Here is a pic from the Muddy Buddys web page from a previous event.

From 2003-2007 I worked with Wullenweber Chrysler Jeep here in Cincinnati to put on Jeepfest. We had as many as 80 Jeeps show up a couple years. As soon as I find the pics I will post them here. Of course there's a show this Saturday and it's suppose to rain again.
