Personally, if I was faced with either getting hit when I was in the right of way or hitting a snow bank, I would have let the person hit me for the situation you are in now. I don't care how old they are, if they make a bad decision, they need to see they did (especially older folks who should be tested every year). And why would you have to worry about being sued if you did nothing wrong?

At least you might get another Jeep.

No she would have hit you.......you were in the right, she was in the wrong. And I don't know what she could have sued you for, if anything, you could have sued her. But the past is the past.

Id say get the money from insurance, then buy it back and get yourself a stock jeep and transfer all your goodies

If I read it right, he didn't have full coverage, so he won't get anything from the wreck unless they get the other driver to admit she did something wrong.

I'd do this:

Your jeeps NADA retail is $4475, roughly without knowing the mileage and power options. Most insurnace companies will allow you to "buy" the Jeep back at salvage value, which is typically 10-15% of its NADA retail value. Which would look something like $4475 (NADA retail) - $671 (15% salvage value) = $3804 with you keeping the Jeep.

Buy another Jeep and swap your parts, sell the left-overs off and your a few $$ ahead.

I hope you are not suggesting that the Insurance company would offer him NADA retail ?? Most times they offer slightly below wholesale, but you can hold out for full wholesale of the vehicle. Insurance companies will never pay full retail for a vehicle.
