I was leaning towards the "brute ute" as one guy calls his.
The $5k AEV bed vs. all the work of splicing 2 TJ butts vs. a flatbed or utility box...

I have a couple pickup trucks already.

That has to be one of the best build brutes out there running a tie or close 2nd to Dave from AEV blue one. Hope you don't mind but I'm going to post the specs from the for sale ad. I don't think people realize what you have.

Thanks, I was going to get around to it tomorrow, I have been swamped. I have actually got it loaded on a trailer right now. It is heading to Linex in the am to get the underside, fender flares, bumpers, wheel wells and grill coated. The previous owners did a bang up job. just a couple more tweaks and it will be perfect!

Here's my Brute:

image.jpg

I purchased it back in February on the AEV forum. It was built with a 2006 Rubicon as the base vehicle. It's painted the original Jeep Green color, full Linex (tub and bed), 4" suspension, MOPAR winch bumper, 16" Black Rock rims with 33" Michellin LTX M/S tires. I've since added MOPAR cruise control, a Warn M8000 and a few other odds and ends. I'm going to tint the windows and spray the inside of the hardtop with either Linex or Lizardskin (if I can find a local vendor) to quiet the road noise down even more.

It rides great and is a pleasure to drive. I've owned three other Jeeps and the Brute rides a lot different - more of a truck feel to it with the longer wheel base. I drive it everyday and it does well offroad. It can hang with all of the built JKs in my local club - the LWB and locked D44s are a great combo

If you don't mind, what kind if price tag was on the brute conversion when you were all done (or at least to this point)?
