how 'bout some storage behind the rear seat

i havent seen any good inexpensive options for storage behind the rear seat. im looking for something like a cooler that will fit behind the rear seat for "soda" and other necessities for the beach this summer. show me what you got!

Well not behind the rear seat but works for what you need!
A really "cool "idea"...

i am in the process of building a storage compartment for the rear right now. i am going to fiberglass the inside of it and paint to waterseal it. add a drain and im done.
my console has the cd rack in it, it doesnt go all the way down like others ive seen. i will check it out tomorrow if i can remove it or not. the lock on my console is busted also

look into the "jpcooler". i have one and it fits perfectly in that area. and if you don't need both sides as a cooler you can use one side for stuff like tools and straps or whatever you need

here it is fitted in the back. its nice and tight in there so it wont bounce around but i can still get it in and out relatively easily. i will get some more and better pictures tomorrow but you can get the idea. the back is angled down towards the front of the jeep to match and fit the rear seat so i can get the most out of the allotted space (which isnt very much to begin with)

looks like raw plywood (correct if wrong...). I'd get some stain/water sealant on it before the wood soaks up the next rain

I did it sorry i didnt get pictures up. i painted the outside with metallic green spray, and did the inside with primer then white latex paint. it holds water fine and i added a drain plug in the bottom so i dont have to lift it out when all the ice melts. it worked great to hold "sodas" on the beach all summer i am very happy with it.

^hard to see but its filled with water

Another vote for JPCooler. Good product, good prices, and GREAT owner of the company.

Excuse the goofy *** photo.....it was taken by the owner of JPCooler.
