I'm not going to lie, I totally expected this to look like crap, starting with a piece of angle steel. But it looks fantastic. The only thing I'd do is dip the ends in rubberized coating. Other than that, great work.

Ya I actually thought about that too but was like.... Ehh n/m lol it's super bright... This pic was from today when it was pouring down rain...

I should have taken one with it off too, but that sign in the distance the factory headlights didn't
T light it up.. But with the lights on it was all lit....

I'm not sure what the laws are for driving around town with them on, I don't normally use them with other drivers on the road because it prob pisses off the ppl in front of me. lol... But early morning when it's like super foggy or dark roads it's really great.

I was thinking about the reflection on the hood and was wondering if a good solution for that might be to coat the bottom part of the light to keep it from throwing down on the hood.

I'll try tomorrow to cover up some of the bottom with cardboard and see if it doesn't show up on the hood. Im thinking it might still show up just from all the light coming off the hood in general but that's a interesting idea. You talking like paint the bottom of the lens?

Right. I was thinking when I tape off the lights to give the brackets and all a coating like you did, just don't tape off the bottom of the lens and give it a coat also. Let me know what you find out with the cardboard test.

Well, I finally got a chance to check it out... I didn't notice a huge difference, I taped off half the lights and tried to compare, couldn't see a big difference tho... Here are some pics.

Looms like of anything it helped a tiny bit at the end of the hood, but I feel like it took to much of the light away to be worth it. I still love my light bar lol. I'll try and get some pictures of it on a trail to try and show how much more light it gives. Pictures are hard to show it.

It is definitely marginal. I still plan on making one, just not sure when I am going to start. Soon hopefully. I would like to see them on the trail. I am not planning on doing alot of night wheeling but if nothing else it looks really cool!

No I used the spray can, at first mainly so nothing would rust but then it just turned out better anyways so you didn't see the stainless steal bolts and wires etc.
